For my Career Day, I went to the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. I shadowed Tanja Schroeder a worker in education at the Science Center. She was helping with a 5th grade class's field trip. When I arrived, the class was taking a test about chemistry. After that They made posters about a mystery crime about cancer. They were supposed to solve who caused the cancer crime and explain it in a presentation. The educator was walking around, asking about their evidence in their posters. After the 5 graders finished their posters they went to see a science performance, and the ones who didn't finish had to stay and work on their poster. The Performance was about loud noises, during the performance, their was a banana frozen in liquid nitrogen hitting a symbol to make a noise, a liquid nitrogen soda bottle explosion, a liquid nitrogen bottle rocket explosion, and a big liquid nitrogen plastic barrel full of balls explosion. When then performance was over, we went back to the classroom area, and saw the presentations. After the presentations were over the 5th graders left, and the job shadow was done.
